You have joined a Drama Production Company who has been asked to perform a play around the theme “The Life I Live”. As part of your expert team, you will need:

The performance is for Year 5 and 6 students, including students attending the Orientation Day at Lumen Christi. Consider your audience carefully in selecting themes and dialogues for your performance. You may choose an existing script or create an original play. Writing Anthology
- Lockie Leonard grows up in the play, “Lockie Leonard, Human Torpedo” . Adolescence can be a difficult transition and the play brings a teenage perspective to this. Write a poem, using literary techniques discussed in class, reflecting on your own journey towards independence.
- Prayers can petition, praise or offer thanks. Write your own prayer expressing one of these dimensions of prayer.
- Write an extended response: Analyse the effectiveness of different land management practices used on Australian bushland.
You may like to consider this quote: ‘Ideally, a cultural burn helps prevent fire risks, rejuvenate local flora, protect native animal habitat, all while restoring the kinship to the land’ (Oliver Costello, Firesticks Alliance). - Three pieces of your own choice, negotiate this with your teacher.

Investigating Landforms:
World Tour For Your Gap Year
A gap year can be an opportunity to explore, learn, and grow before beginning further study. This activity will need to be researched at home as we will work on creating your finished copy in class.
You must explore at least ONE of the following: natural landforms, cities/towns and suggest some cultural activities to participate in. Also, you must visit a place of religious or spiritual significance. You must begin by visiting a local landscape or landform. |
For each location:
- Include several photographs of the landform/city/cultural activity
- Around 250 words clearly describing its key features (environmental and human processes)
